We would like to say a big Thank You to everyone who attended our Children’s Strategy launch and committed to See, Hear, and Act for children affected by domestic violence. It was an emotional day for all of us – it’s hard not to get emotional when we think about how abuse affects children. But ultimately the message of the event, and our Strategy, is a positive one: We can all to our part to support and protect children.

Special thanks to Luke & Ryan Hart for sharing their story, to Children’s Commissioner Koulla Yiasouma for her passionate defence of children’s human rights, to our children’s workers and all the amazing work they do, and to the wonderful choir of Loughview Integrated Primary School who sang like angels.

This launch is only the beginning of our next phase of work to do better for children and young people. We invite you to join with us going forward, to make sure that every child who is suffering domestic violence is seen, that they are heard when they try to tell us what’s wrong, and that we act decisively to meet their needs and help them not only to survive but to thrive.
