For most of us, our will is one way of looking after the people we care about when we’re gone.

A gift to Women’s Aid in your will is an extra way of looking after your family, your friends and even people you’ll never know. People you will want to help because you know how hard it can be when families are affected by domestic and sexual violence.

Gifts in wills can save lives

No one should have to suffer abuse or live in fear within their own home. When they find the courage and strength to ask for help, we want to be there to provide whatever support they (and often their children) need. Whether this be specialised telephone support, referral to our floating support services or getting woman and her children fleeing a dangerous situation into one of our safe refuges across Northern Ireland.

Our 24 hour Domestic & Sexual Violence Helpline is there 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Last year the Helpline managed over 55,000 calls.

By leaving a gift in your will to Women’s Aid Federation, you can help us sustain our vital services; ensuring victims of domestic and sexual violence get the right help, whenever they need it.

You can decide what kind or size of gift you’d like to leave but please be assured, every gift, no matter how big or small can make a difference. By leaving a gift in your will, you will be helping us achieve our vision of eliminating domestic and sexual violence and abuse and ultimately contributing to the creation of a safer society for everyone.

Donations left in wills to charities are free from inheritance tax.
