The Empty Purse Campaign Needs You!

(well your purses at least!)

The Welfare Reform Bill is currently being scheduled for discussion, and a protest at Stormont is to be co-ordinated by Reclaim The Agenda, a group of women’s sector groups and women’s centres. Details will be confirmed soon – keep an eye on this website or www.wrda.net for details.

To this end and as a brilliant publicity initiative, 108 empty purses will be presented to our 108 MLA’s with a welfare reform message inside them. Reclaim the Agenda are therefore asking if you have any old purses lying around that we could have for this event.

Please drop off any old purses you have by this Friday 31st May 2013!

Drop off points for Belfast are:
North – WomensTEC contact Helen Crickard 028 9074 9810
South – WRDA contact Lynn Carvill 028 9023 0212

West – Trademark contact Kellie O’Dowd 028 9033 1053

If you gather some and have difficulties getting them dropped off, just contact the nearest person to you from the contact list above and we can make arrangements to have them collected.
