Louise from Women’s Aid Federation NI and Helpline worker Lindita headed to the Armagh City Hotel for the SDLP Party Conference on Saturday 10th November.
We had a constructive day of talking about the big issues of the moment, and used the opportunity to highlight the negative consequences of the upcoming welfare reforms on victims of domestic abuse and their families.
We also provided information and literature on domestic abuse for councillors and their constituents, and were on hand to answer any questions about domestic abuse and our 24 Hour Domestic & Sexual Violence Helpline service, which is open to all women and men affected by domestic abuse.
