Over the past three years, Women’s Aid across the United Kingdom & Imkaan have been developing our approach to ensuring that diverse survivors of domestic abuse and other forms of violence against women & girls (VAWG) have more opportunities to influence local practice, policy and national decision-making.

This guide has been designed to provide support for organisations working with survivors, to help amplify their voices & experience.

While there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to this critical work, we hope our best practice guide for anyone working in the VAWG sector will help others engage with survivors on a deeper level, making sure that their voices are heard loud and clear.
