North Down & Ards Women’s Aid are having a Coffee and Cake morning on 28 November in support of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence.
The 16 Days of Action runs from 25 November, UN International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women – 10 December, Human Rights Day.
The Campaign spans these 16 days in order to highlight the link between violence against women and human rights.
It is estimated that around 3 million women across the UK experience rape, domestic abuse, forced marriage, stalking, sexual exploitation, trafficking and other forms of violence every year.
